Thank you for expressing an interest in working with the Organisation Development Division. Our work is key to the continued transformation of the organisation to retain its strong performance and its high levels of resident satisfaction. Recent local and national changes mean our work will be at the forefront of the organisation’s activities. We are breaking new ground for the organisation and for the sector we work within.

We are a new division, carved out of an HR function centralised in late 2007. With a new Assistant Director appointed from the private sector at the end of 2008, we are now shaping the organisation development agenda and building the corresponding capability to deliver - both within our division and within line management across the organisation.

These posts are not for the fainthearted - OD requires seasoned professionals with a passion for the work, patience to lead the organisation in new areas and resilience for occasional setbacks and cynicism. We have achieved a great deal over the past 18 months, putting in a new performance management system, beginning new work on talent management, exploring new leadership models, building an in-house business process reengineering team and working on new model of staff engagement.

We are looking for two post holders - one to lead in the areas of talent, leadership development and performance - including a rethink of our approach to training and another to lead on staff engagement and cultural change. Both posts are required to shape the forward plan in their respective areas and provide thought leadership to the organisation and be part of a small team working across traditional organisation boundaries.

The pace is fast. The demands are considerable. It is an exciting place to work bringing substantial change for residents - in a very diverse and mobile area of West London. We are aiming high. If you decide to take up the challenge and have what we need, I look forward to meeting you.
